March 2018 Team Advocate

Meet Sarah Hooley

In an effort to showcase our amazing team members and allow you to get to know who we are, we are running a “Team Advocate of the month” to show you our bunch of people and celebrate their skills.

So here is our March Advocate….

What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years?

In the next 10 years I’m definitely looking forward to finishing all my study (Uni degree and CA program). I’m also really excited to travel…everywhere! I’m looking forward to experiencing lots of exciting times with friends and family, and then eventually settling down and starting a family of my own.

Are you a morning person, or a night owl?

I am hands down a night owl. My partner likes to wake up early and go to the gym, and I always love the idea of doing that myself until the time comes to actually get out of bed at 5am. I much prefer to get all my work done of a night time, then treat myself to a sleep-in every morning.

What are three things on your bucket list?

The three things on my bucket list are all travel related… the first is to visit Italy (has been on my list since year 5), second is to experience new year’s eve in New York, and the third is to go to Vegas with my best friend for our 21st birthdays.

What were you like in High School?

I was a very quiet person in High School. I had a small, close friend group that I always hung out with. I was very focused on my school work, and spent a lot of my time studying and doing assignments. You could probably guess I was a bit of stress head also!

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

I think I would have to choose teleportation. The idea of being able to zap myself to any place on Earth in a second is mind-blowing! I would save so much money on transport, and I’d be able to visit family and friends who live away much more often!

What’s your #INSPIRATION… What motivates you to show up at work and ROCK IT?

I love the fact that in my job I learn something new every single day. I find that getting to know our clients and learning how they operate/what they’re all about is so interesting! I’ve only been at Wardles for a short time, but I’m very lucky to have landed a job in a workplace filled with such supporting and kind people! I’m very much looking forward to the next couple of years.

The human cost of late payments

Written by Donna Torres, originally published by Xero. We talk a lot about how late payments affect businesses from a financial and operational perspective. It’s an issue that’s close to our hearts here at Xero, and it’s a conversation that matters.  But another...
